The Geography of The Songhai kingdom;
The Songhai kingdom was located in the western part of upper Africa, with the famous Sahara desert just a little bit north of their kingdom. And a handful of the natural resources that were surrounding them had really influenced their empire. One of them was the many gold fields and mines circling around their
kingdom. Some of the reasons that I find this important is that the gold fields and mines surrounding them might of have
lead their civilization to a very good trade with other countries and very good currency.

One of the best natural resources that Songhai kingdom had gotten, was when they finally expanded their empires territory which eventually had got them the control over the Nile River, which had to have been really good for the Songhai's farmer's crops by supplying them with lots of water, one of my other theories is that it was even better for their trade!
Two of the other kingdoms that were alive just a couple years after the begging of the Songhai kingdom which were the Mali and Ghana kingdoms had begun their empire/civilization in upper Africa just like Songhai had done, but the other kingdoms started more to the west of the Songhai kingdoms territory.
